Runner in Red, by Tom Murphy, is based on a real-life Boston Marathon legend that a woman “wearing red” snuck into the Boston Marathon in 1951, fifteen years before history knew of the first woman runner. The novel is a mystery, love story and family drama that explores the history of women’s running. Tom is contributing all profits from the novel to the Barb’s Beer cure lung cancer campaign. Runner in Red/Barb’s Beer Foundation, a 501c3 charity, raises funds to cure lung cancer in memory of Barb Murphy. A marathon runner and late wife of Tom Murphy, author of the novel, Runner in Red, Barb passed away from non-smoker’s lung cancer in 2013. Learn more about Barb’s story as a marathon runner and advocate for curing lung cancer at barbsbeer.org. Contributions go to curing lung cancer, which takes the lives of more women than any other cancer.

When can I run? Any time! Don't forget you can only post your time between 10/2 - 10/10.
